If you like extra firm mattress, this is definitely the best sleeping pad for camping at this price point. I bought one when it was on sale. After trying it for one night, I immediately placed an order for one more before the deal is gone. the firmness of the sleeping pad is perfect for me. The only negative thing is how hard it takes to deflate and put it back to the bag... If camping during summer, deflating and putting it away within the tent feels like doing hot yoga.
We have just returned from a 30 day camping trip to Alaska. We camped 27 of the 30 days. We are both 74 and found this mattress comfortable . I was worried because it is only 3 inches thick when inflated ,,,and it was fine. IT also did a good job insulating us from below. The pictures show the Mattress in the camper storage and the camper open . I dont have a picture of just the mattess. IT was always covered by the sleeping bags.
Super comfy pad. I sleep on my side mostly and even on pavement it feels like I'm sleeping on a cloud with this thing! I've always been picky about my sleeping pads, but this switch turned out to be great (I've always used a paco pad from river trips). It's on the heavy side and takes up a little bit of space, but if you like sleeping comfortably with your partner then you will love this pad!
This pad is comfortable. But hard to deflate, takes 2 of us, 3 of us to really get a good deflate.
Really satisfied with this camping pad. We got the deluxe double. Huge upgrade from the inflatable air mattress that we've been using that looses air and turns into a deflated mess. It's a lot more padded and comfy than I expected and you can adjust the softness level by opening the two screw valves and letting air in or out to your liking. It takes some time to self inflate to it's fullest level (10-15 min). My boyfriend is 6'2" and we both fit on it just fine. We have a small REI T2+ tent that this fits in perfectly. It's a bit bulky and heavy when packed up so definitely more appropriate for car camping and would not suggest backpacking with this. It takes some wrestling to pack it back up, but comes in a nice carry bag with elastic bands to hold it together.
