ATEPA KIMBERLEY 250 Sleeping Bag - Men's

This sleeping bag is incredibly soft, very roomy, and should get you through the nights in fall and spring. The zipper moves nice and smooth and is fairly easy to get completely zipped inside it, you do have to guide it a bit so it doesn't get caught on the material. I am only 5'6, and slim, and there is a lot of room when I'm inside this thing so it appears this can accommodate larger people very well.

It's made out of polyester, so it should protect to some degree from the elements, and the thing I like most is that it rolls down to a very slim form factor and has a nice carrying bag.

My camping trip is in two weeks, and this will be the sleeping bag I take with me!

This reminds me of the thinner outer layer of a modular sleeping bag, frequently that's all you really need. Better overall quality and value than most bags you'll find at sporting and department stores.

I's say this is a two-season sleeping bag, really one season ...total two half seasons. Say late spring and early fall. I wouldn't imagine the synthetic fibers lend themselves very well to much above room temperature trapping in some heat but most of all not wicking and expelling moisture.
In the summer you could use it more unzipped like a poncho I guess.

The inside material is too loose for my tastes and could picture it feeling clingy if you were clammy or sweaty. The looseness can also make it hard to zip up quickly because it catches when you do so.
There's a flap built in to help trap some of the heat from escaping out the zipper.
Feels nice and silky against bare skin.

For cold weather you should probably start using thermal underwear and layering below 50F and I'm not sure that it would be of much use below 40. It just doesn't seem to be able to retain much heat over long periods of time in colder settings.

Inside batting is a bit droopy as well. Not sure how well it will hold up after numerous washings but the materials themselves seem to be fairly tough and should hold up well for several seasons.
Not totally waterproof repels water and moisture briefly.

Fits me well (average sized person) and has some room for taller and wider people as well.

I really like that it comes with a compression sack and feel most other sleeping bags should as well but one of the straps broke on first use. Slightly disappointment about how small it compressed. I'm sure a better sack would help though. Still not sure I'd 100% recommend this for someone doing extensive backpacking and hiking if space and weight are a major factor and cost and researching not being as important. This doesn't appear much smaller or lighter than the outer layer and waterproof cover of my modular sleeping bag and I would trust that to lower temperatures and it's waterproof. Also I don't so far attest to it's overall ruggedness with heavy extended usage.

This is the second sleeping bag I've gotten from Atepa, with the first one being a neat modular bag. I like this one just as much as I like the other one. This bag is super soft and comfortable. It is only a 3 season bag, so it is decently thin and not overly bulky. It's well made and the zipper is incredibly smooth. It's also very roomy for a mummy bag. A nice feature it has that they don't show for some reason is that It has a built in neck baffle to hold in your body heat when needed. It velcros closed separately from the main bag's velcro closure. It has some nice small features like hanging loops at the bottom for drying and large pull loops on the zipper. The stuff sack is just a good standard compression sack, nothing too special about it. Overall it's a really nice and affordable mummy bag. It will be great for spring and fall. I am very happy with it and would recommend it.

My teen daughter used this on a recent camping trip where the temp was in the mid to low 50°s at night. She’s a thin girl so she had a hoodie on and even added a camping blanket on top. So what’s the message? It may be warm for some and not so much for others. Basing off my daughter, I think the sleeping bag would be fine for me during those temps. If it drops another 10° I’m layering up.

I think it fits in the 2-3 season category. It’s light and ok to pack into its bag although I think some may struggle squeezing it into the bag. The zippers moved well and it didn’t catch while I played with it. It’s a good size and still room for movement.

Overall, I’m happy with it and will consider getting another mummy type sleeping for my son for his Fall camping trip.
